Investment in New Models
Monday 7th November
PRESS RELEASE:
In June 2009 Haines Marine purchased the mould tools for their range of luxury motor cruisers
from the disbanded Norfolk company, Aqua Fibre. This was followed by further investment in 2010
with the hugely successful Haines 400 model development.
Now the company are again investing heavily to secure the long term future of the brand,
with the announcement of a 3-year development programme and the launch of
new models to its range.
Beginning with the launch of the new Haines 42 Elegance,
targeting the European inland cruising market of France, Germany, Holland,
Ireland and the UK. The 42 Elegance offers
customers the live-aboard layout required for those longer cruises. With many
people enjoying long summers afloat on Europe’s network of waterways, many of
which doing so on Dutch built steel boats. Norfolk based Haines believe that
the 42 Elegance delivers
an ideal GRP alternative.

Haines 42 Elegance
Late 2012 will also see the launch of the 32 Sedan, a new development, and a boat aimed at the young
family or starter boat market with a retail price of around £150,000.
2013 will see the launch of the much anticipated 40 Sedan, an offshore model with a 30 knot performance.
Following on from the popular and award winning Haines 35 Sedan, the 40 Sedan will deliver the
large aft cockpit and open-plan saloon space that is so often appreciated in
modern day motor cruisers.
With a workforce of 26, the Haines Norfolk factory is currently operating at
full capacity with craft being produced across the model range. Haines are keen
to develop further and build on the success of recent years. With new markets
buying British built boats, Haines have just sold their first boat to a Russian
customer based on the Black Sea, and a large proportion of the company’s
production being for export. Haines are taking the opportunity to expand on the
demand for their custom built luxury craft.
UK Haines dealer, Norfolk Yacht Agency, have also enjoyed a successful year and already confirmed orders for each of the new models, along with a new Haines 400 aft cabin that will be exhibited at the London Boat Show. In its last financial year NYA sold nearly 300 boats (new and used) with a total value of about £10 million.

Haines Owners Irish Cruise In Company
Monday 11th July
After 30 years of building a range of boats for Irish customers, Haines Marine were pleased to enjoy their first Irish Cruise in Company last weekend (8th - 10th July) with 14 other Haines craft and their crew.
A total of 50 guests attended a fun filled weekend with a barbeque on the Friday night, and a dinner followed by music and lots of singing and dancing on the Saturday night. Saturday was a fine sunny day, as all the boats left from Peter Quigley’s Marina at Killinure Point on Lough Ree and headed to the quiet moorings at Portrunny for lunch. The weekend climaxed with the dinner held at the stunning Glasson Country House Hotel all enjoyed with the obligatory great Irish craic.
As with any Cruise in Company, it gave everyone an opportunity to talk boats, socialise and make many new friends. Bob, Mary and Justin Haines were all warmly greeted by customers, and the weekend was undoubtedly a resounding success, largely down to the expert organisational skills of Haines 31 owner Michael Martin.

Press Release (Monday 27th June):
Haines, award winning British builders of luxury custom built motor cruisers celebrated the launch of their latest Haines 400, 6 berth aft cabin model at Harleyford Marina on the Thames. Enjoyed on a lovely warm June Saturday afternoon along with 80 invited guests. The launch party was held by kind permission of Chris and Lesley Hansford, the boat’s owners and Harleyford Estate and Marina. Guests, including several members of the Haines Owners Club, enjoyed canapés, Pimms and Champagne whilst relaxing, chatting and looking over the Haines 400. Haines Agents, Norfolk Yacht Agency and Bob, Mary and Justin Haines, were on hand to meet and greet guests, showing people on board and answering questions about their quality craft. Several Haines craft are already moored on the Marina.
Marina manager Mark Pearce who kindly helped with the event, said “He was pleased to see the Marina buzzing with activity and he looked forward to welcoming more new Haines boats on to the Marina in future. This is an excellent way for customers to see on board a new model without having to visit a Boat Show, a much more personal and pleasant experience having the boat brought to them where they enjoy their boating on the Thames” Those who went on board were impressed by the spacious interior layout with two master cabins, large galley on both port and starboard sides with large toilet and shower compartments. We are happy to consider part exchanges for customers ordering a new Haines, and we like to show customers around the factory to see boats in production. It makes a good day out. Most people thinking of changing their boats are certainly impressed with the quality and dedication of the Haines work force when they visit. The company were awarded outstanding service award by Motor Boats Monthly and they certainly give good service, so important today”
This was the first time the latest model from the Haines range of coastal and river cruisers had been viewed on the Thames, having received its first outing last September at Southampton Boat Show. Haines Charter Craft - Large Export Order
Press Release - Friday 13th May (as reported in the Eastern Daily Press):
Haines Marine have fought off strong European competition to secure two contracts to supply 12 new luxury motor cruisers for a Swiss company. The boats will be operated on the German Mecklenburg Lakes near Berlin and from two locations on the French Canals in 2012. With the first 7 boats for production this year, and a further 5 boats to follow next year for the same company.
Director Justin Haines said “This is excellent news for the company, the quality of our craft and our record for good after sales service helped win the contract to supply our Haines 34 and 38 foot motor cruisers, securing another good export order for our company. Despite the recent downturn our company has continued to sell boats and invest in new models and this latest order will mean we will need to take on more boat builders to fulfil the contract, this is great news for the local boatbuilding industry and its skilled workers.”
This is the latest of many export orders for the Award Winning Norfolk company which specialises in custom built motor cruisers for both charter and private markets throughout Europe.

Nancy Oldfield Trust: Boats with wheelchair access available from Haines
Recently built was a Haines Bure 36 model converted for the Norfolk Charity that operates craft for the use of people needing wheelchair access. This boat has been modified from our current Bure 36 model to include a hydraulic ramp and access from both the side and the rear. The company specialises in this type of customisation which enables people to continue with their boating despite any physical disability.
This is the second craft the company has built for the Nancy Oldfield Trust, which operates several different types of craft on the Norfolk Broads. This new addition was launched in mid-August. Their first craft, a Haines 28'6" model, being used daily throughout the year to take people out on to the beautiful Norfolk Broads has been a great success, prompting the charity to return to Haines for another larger model.
The company would be pleased to quote for anyone requiring this type of customisation on some of the models currently in the Haines range of craft. Just give us a call on 01692 582180.

Southampton Boat Show 2010
With two boats being exhibited at Southampton Boat Show this year, we hoped to continue on from the success of last year’s show.
Again we weren't disappointed as an international audience of boating enthusiasts took their opportunity to see what Haines had to offer. The new Haines 400, displayed for the first time at an International Boat Show, proved a big attraction for many customers at the show. With many visitors making the Haines berths their first port of call on their day out on the South coast.
Along with the 400, the twin engine Haines 35 Offshore model also proved equally popular. The craft's new stylish walnut interior finish, being admired by many existing Haines customers.
Following on from last years success, we again left very encouraged by the high level of interest being expressed in both models, and pleased that an order for a 400 was placed at the show.

Modern day motor cruisers are now fitted with all mod cons, and many Hire-fleet companies are enjoying a successful time, with an increase in demand.
